The IST Business Solutions and Planning team, part of the Information Systems & Technology (IST) Group, provides strategic direction and technology services to the Parliamentary Service and its partners. The team ensures that business applications supporting Parliament are effectively delivered, maintained, and aligned with organisational needs. Additionally, they manage relationships with IST customers to deliver strategic solutions that meet quality standards and promote a customer service focus across the IST Group and its service providers.
Mō te tūnga | About the role:
The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing parliamentary applications and driving process improvements by collaborating with stakeholders and managing complex requirements.
- Delivering high-quality business requirements to support applications and process improvements.
- Leading technical tasks and implementing solutions to optimise productivity.
- Coordinating user acceptance testing and supporting change management initiatives.
- Documenting business requirements, processes, and training needs with precision.
- Collaborating with developers and vendors to ensure solutions align with business and stakeholder needs.
- Supporting testing processes and overseeing system architecture design.
- Mentoring junior analysts to foster technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Working within a product-focused environment to ensure seamless integration and user adoption.
Tō kete | What you will bring to the role:
- Experiences in business analysis and business process design.
- Proficiency in business analysis methods, documentation, and SaaS product implementation with integrations.
- Strong skills in presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of user-interface design principles and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with applications like Microsoft CRM, ServiceNow, and Document Management systems.

The starting salary range for this role is $111,343 per annum, with appointments based on skills and experience. The full salary range extends beyond this to accommodate tenure progression.
